STEPS FOR PAYMENT OF DIRECT TAX THROUGH ATM
Registration for the Direct Tax Payment facility at the branch:

Debit Card holder has to submit an application at his account maintaining branch for enabling the facility.  The applicant has to provide the details like Card Number, photo copy of PAN card, Type of Payment of Tax, Major Head Code, Minor Head Code, Nature of payment, PAN number, Mobile Number, email ID etc., in the prescribed format.

The facility will be enabled on ATM within one working day after submission of application at our branch.
Procedure for making direct tax payment through ATM:

Andhra Bank Card holder walks into our Bank ATM. ATM displays a screen prompting the customer to insert his card.  Once the card is inserted the following screen is displayed.

  • Customer has to select the SERVICES option for payment of Direct Tax.
  • ATM prompts the customer to select the Language.  After selecting the Language, Customer has to enter the PIN Number.
  • After entering the pin, ATM will display the SERVICES Menu and prompts the customers to select his transaction. For making Direct Tax Payment   customer should opt for ‘IT PAYMENT’ option.

After selecting the IT PAYMENT, ATM will display the following options

IT REPRINT

‘IT PAYMENT’ option to be selected for making the payment and ‘IT REPRINT’ option to reprint the receipt.  If IT PAYMENT option is selected and if the card is already registered for Direct Tax then Registered PAN Number and Alias name would be displayed.  Cardholder can register for more than one PAN Number i.e. for making direct tax payment for other parties also.  In such case list of PAN Number will be displayed along with the corresponding Alias Names.

  1. PAN NUMBER – NAME
  2. PAN NUMBER – NAME

Customer has to select one of the options displayed by the system for which he/she is going to make the Tax payment by keying the respective serial number and then pressing the button near “PRESS IF CORRECT”.  Then Customer will be given the option to choose from the MINOR HEAD codes he has registered for Direct Tax payment through ATM.

MINOR HEAD CODE

  1. SELF ASSESSMENT TAX(300)
  2. ADVANCE TAX (100)

After selecting the Minor head code by keying the corresponding serial number and pressing the button near “PRESS IF CORRECT”, Customer will have the option to choose the Assessment Year for which he intends to pay.

ASSESSMENT YEAR

  1. 2011 -2012
  2. 2012 – 2013

After selecting the assessment year, Sub  Heads like Income  Tax, Surcharge, interest, Penalty & others… based  on  his/her registration done earlier at the Branch would be displayed on the ATM. The Customer enters the Amount that he wishes to pay for a particular Assessment Year
